” You shall not murder”

*** Exodus 20: 13 ***

” Fearfully and wonderfully made”

In Hebrew, Lo teer ‘tzah, meaning murder, now arguments can be made regarding the definition of this word murder, but simply put, it is the unjust taking of a humans life. Thy shall not commit murder is the sixth commandment of the laws from God, given to Moses on rock tablets upon the mountain, which was brought to the children of Israel, as they fled Egypt, on their way to the new promised land. While murder is a grave sin, The words of Jesus in Matthew 5 shows us that, the concern of God far exceeds the outward actions, and looks at the condition of the heart.

We were taught from a young age to not commit physical murder, but what we tend to over look, and especially today, it is our anger that we insult those around us even worse than the action of physical murder. When we insult others around us, or call them Idiots, now we have created murder within our hearts, and violated the spirit of Lo teer “tzah. Anger is like a boil we get on our skin, it will linger and look gross, then as it bursts, it will get really nasty and ugly, and when it gets to that point, now the anger will ruin relationships, and will degrade us all of who we truly are. Looking beyond the legal side of murder, Jesus Christ calls for us all to, do whatever we can to reconcile, forgive, and live a life, a grace filled life.

When we let the anger fester within us, now the dark clouds of the evil darkness consume us so much, that it keeps the true light of salvation from not just lighting up our paths, but it now fails to guide us properly along this journey, because simply, we do not look deeply into what is around us, as we fear more pain, hurt, and suffering will further come to us, as we try to move forward. The one thing that we fail to look at is, when the clouds of the evil darkness comes over one, it now comes over us all as we now try to walk this journey, without truly seeing any of the true beauty that is around us throughout this journey we walk. When Jesus walked this 40 day journey we know of as the Lenten journey, it is true that Satan also came to him and tempted him many times to come to the darkness, but Jesus never showed any anger toward him, he never let any bad feelings fester within him toward Satan, he simply walked away from the temptations, as he then faced what he needed, to keep the Prophecy, as his father wanted for us all who also walk this journey.

We never saw or knew of Jesus Christ, getting or looking angry, he always treated everybody the same no matter of who you were, and he would always show love toward each one of us, never letting any anger enter within the veins within him. This is where we have gone wrong within this society, as we now not just look at others as different, we look at them as less than we ourselves, and totally commit murder of one another, without even knowing of what we are truly doing. This is not about committing death physically to each other, this is more about what we do to one another mentally, as without knowing it, and without showing any empathy of one another, we are slowly killing one another deep within, as our hearts now become so cold, we now feel no warmth of the love of Jesus Christ within us anymore.

There is this cancer that has come over us all, and is sucking us all into the deep and dark world of the evil darkness. This cancer is everywhere among us, and it is formed in the word of ” Hatred”. This word has now consumed us even more so than the love of Jesus Christ for us all, and unless we stop it in it’s tracks, it will only get worse as we keep trying to move forward through this journey. This society of today has become so misguided, that we now look toward the wrong ones for the answers that are right there in front of us all. We will look one another in the eyes and say nothing, then as the backs are turned, out comes all the hateful words, that now turns each one of us, against one another and for no good reason at all. It is this hate that is truly committing murder to each one of us, as we now slide down this slippery slope of a slow death, as our hearts now feel this great pain and hurt, and as we see nothing of beauty that is around us all, within this journey of life.

We all should just be living within the haunted mansions that are now deserted out there among us. Because, actually those deserted structures may look more beautiful than the way this society is going, with all the hatred out there, and the hatred that now comes to us all from all directions, no matter which way we want to go. It is this hatred that now is committing murder to us all, and we really are paying no attention to it. Really it doesn’t matter which country or nationality you are from, this hatred has now come to us all, as the dark clouds of the evil darkness, is now bringing this temptation to us all, that we have never signed up for. This hatred cancer is among us, and changing us in ways we really have never seen, which is why we all need to come back to the faith and the belief in Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, not just so he can forgive us of our sins, but so he can wave his healing hand over us all, to take away this hatred cancer, that has affected us all throughout this journey. When we come back to the faith and the belief of Jesus Christ, we also come back to the faith and the belief in ourselves, giving us the confidence to look the other way from this hatred cancer, as we fear not just the pain and the hurt, but we fear more not having Jesus Christ with his love within our hearts and warming us so.

There is an old saying that I remember as a young child, that now has disappeared among us all, ” if you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all”, within this society of today everything is said, and unfortunately, it is this cancer of hatred that is being said more so, than any kind of loving words, as we now have this anger about us, that is killing us all slowly deep inside, as we further these hateful words upon all that are around us. So stop living within that haunted house, and step out of your comfort zone and see all the true beauty that is around you, and truly come back to the faith and the belief in Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, so we all can walk this journey within the peace, the love, and joy, that Jesus will bring to us all, always and forever.
